What is Timou - Draw & Write?
An app for children aged 4 to 7 that mixes guided drawing with pre-writing. The child traces lines and shapes to draw something fun, watches it come to life, and then practices the letter or number that goes with it. It is made to be used without knowing how to read.
Which devices does it work on?
iPhone and iPad with iOS or iPadOS 17 or later. On iPhone it is used in landscape; on iPad it works in any orientation.
Does it need internet, an account or a sign-in?
No. Timou works completely offline and has no accounts, no sign-in and no ads. See the Privacy Policy.
What is free and what is in the Full Version?
The first world, Little Lines, and My Name are free. The Full Version is a single purchase that unlocks the other five worlds: Magic Shapes, Animal Friends, Adventure, ABC and Numbers. There is no subscription. The price is shown in your local currency on the purchase screen.
How do I buy the Full Version or restore it?
Tap the gear icon on the home screen, solve the Parents Only question, and open Full Version. From there you can buy it or tap Restore purchases (for example on a new iPad or after reinstalling). Purchases are handled by Apple with your Apple Account. Children never see a price or a buy button.
What is the "Parents only" question?
A multiplication that an adult has to answer before opening settings, purchases or printing. It keeps children away from those options. A wrong answer simply shows a new question.
How do I ask for a refund?
Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple, not by us. You can request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
How do I set my child's name (My Name)?
Open the gear icon, answer the question, and type the name under My Name. It accepts the letters A to Z, up to 10; accents are removed and spaces are dropped. A button with the name then appears on the home screen so your child can practice writing it. The name is only stored on the device and you can remove it at any time.
Can I print my child's drawings?
Yes. Open My Art Book and tap the printer icon on a drawing. After the Parents Only question, the standard iOS print dialog opens. The drawing only goes to the printer you choose.
How do I change the language, the music or the sounds?
In the settings (gear icon, then the Parents Only question) you can switch between English and Spanish and turn the music and the sound effects on or off. By default the app follows your device language.
How do I delete my child's progress and drawings?
In the settings, tap Delete all progress and drawings (it asks twice). It restarts the app, for example for another child, and cannot be undone. Deleting the app removes everything as well.
Does the app share or collect any data?
No. Progress, stars, drawings and the child's name stay on the device. Nothing is sent to us or to anyone else.
